The Terence Wheelock case drags on eh. No matter what any person in authority says or what decisions are made, you people will never accept the fact that terence wheelock was a young, violent, drug abusing out of control teenager who was dealt with lawfully and fairly and the Gardai are not to blame. His family are. For not rearing him properly. For not being stricter with him. This story about a similar assault at sean o’ casey is nonsense, absolute tripe to be honest.

The Annual Reports of the Complaints Board actually gave SOME details of individual complaints (anonymised, but still). It’s really disheartening that things are in many ways worse under the new system than under the old one.
Fully support your calls for the Gardai to come under FOI though presumably it would require the State intelligence function being moved to some other body first. NEVER gonna happen unless that’s done.

Unbelievable. Why don’t any journalists in traditional print/radio/tv outlets pick up this story?

Maybe they will………maybe the Gardai will be put under the FOI.
