The Senior Management of An Gardai Siochana incurred expenses of over €32,000 for the first six months of 2018.
Expenses included approx €2,500 on ‘Official Entertainment’, €8,500 ON Foreign Travel & Subsistence’ with €20,000 spent on ‘Home Travel & Subsistence’.
The largest expenses were from the South Eastern Region who claimed €4,725 on ‘home travel and subsistence’.
The ‘Security and Intelligence’ unit claimed highest spend on ‘foreign travel and subsistence’ with €3,139 spent on trips abroad.
Only three categories of senior management spent money on ‘official entertainment’ with both the senior management of the Western Region and the Roads Policing and Major Event-Emergency expensing €825 for it.
